Life Advice N Motivation -Week 1: Recognizing The Self

So, everybody... here we are in life trying to follow the guide were given : We are born, we go to school, we find a job, become successful, we find some love, have a little fun, get married, travel, have children, retire, and come to the end of our journey. How simple is that, right? The truth is, as everybody would agree, its not. Naturally we come across bumps in the road, some harder to cross than others. Deaths, failures, depression, sickness, drama, stress, addictions, financial problems, relationships, and other expectations of life. The list is endless, but  how do we handle these situations without them progressing into more extreme problems? Some of us want to lose weight, some of us want more money, some of us want to quit smoking, some of us are stuck in abusive relationships. Whatever problems your stuck with in life, have no fear, for the cure and the cause of every problem is but one thing : The SELF.

Some of us are too busy going on with our lives to even stop and learn to use it to our advantage. Often times in life we come across moments where we question our existence but we usually misinterpret our hobbies, belongings, culture, religion, family, surroundings, habits, etc. to be who we are. We create a personality and character for ourselves using material things. We center our lives around money, clothes, sex, family, boyfriends, drugs, partying, school, work and even ourselves, letting our egos go wild, wanting certain things more selfishly than others creating an in balance between the things in our lives.

Ask yourself, what do I centre my life around? If your answer is not "PRINCIPLES", then that's probably why you have problems in your life in the first place.

prin·ci·ple [prin-suh-puhl]
noun
1.an accepted or professed rule of action or conduct: a person of good moral principles.

What does this mean?

This means that to begin your journey to finding motivation to be successful and happy in life, you need to center your life around PRINCIPLES:

RESPECT, HONOR, LOYALTY, TRUST, INTEGRITY,HOPE, EQUITY, HARD WORK, PATIENCE.

The Lesson of the week is : Every situation we are faced with in life, must be dealt with using principles, we must not center our lives around material things, people, or habits, but principles such as respect and loyalty. This must be the focus of every action we make in life. For with good intentions and positivity, comes good things and more positivity!

Things to try this week:

- Show respect towards someone
-be the living expression of kindness
- Practice being patient with something that annoys you.
-Dont tell a lie!
- Stay Positive!
- Appreciate the things you have and dont ask for more!

Next weeks Topic: Stuck In The Past and Lost In The Future
